Shelton, CT (February 10, 2016) — Nicole Knapik was recently appointed as the new Catering Sales Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Shelton, CT. The 161-room hotel is managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm.

As Catering Sales Manager, Knapik will be responsible for soliciting new accounts and growing existing client relationships and business. She will manage functions from beginning to end to guarantee complete guest satisfaction. Knapik has worked in a variety of roles in the hospitality industry for several years and has developed the necessary skills to build client relationships and ensure all hotel needs are met. She joins the Courtyard Shelton team from her most recent position as Symposium Planner at Cisbio US in Bedford, MA. Prior to that, she was the Special Events Manager at the Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, RI, the Travel and Events Intern at CVS Health in Woonsocket, RI, and Front Desk Agent at the Hampton Inn in Franklin, MA. Knapik holds a Bachelor of Science in International Hotel and Tourism Management from Johnson and Wales University.
