GETTYSBURG, PA (June 6, 2016) — April Rose was recently appointed as the new Catering and Events Manager at the Gettysburg Hotel in Gettysburg, PA. Established in 1797, the 119-room hotel is located on Lincoln Square and is owned by Gettysburg College. Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm, manages the property.

As Catering and Events Manager, April will manage all of the property’s weddings and large social events. She will be responsible for prospecting events, booking them, and coordinating the event the day of. She joins the Gettysburg Hotel from her most recent position as Wedding Specialist at the Sheraton Baltimore North in Towson, MD. Prior to that she was the Banquet Manager/Assistant Food and Beverage Director at the Hunt Valley Golf Club in Phoenix, MD and the Logistics Associate at the Travel Destinations Management Group in Owings, Mills, MD. April holds a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications with a Minor in Sociology from The Pennsylvania State University.
